Falling into Color Field Theory
In writing, all fantasy is based on reality. In painting, all abstraction is based on reality. I'm a writer and a painter. I prefer my abstraction with barely a hint of reality, something the viewer may, or may not, see. This is loosely based on my autumn October yard in Shapleigh, Maine, painted using Daniel Smith, Schmincke Horadam, and Winsor & Newton watercolors, selected for light fastness and permanence, and Uniball waterproof fade proof ink on 140 lb. Fabriano Artistico cold press rough 100% cotton extra white watercolor paper.
