The Weight of Wounds
The creation of acrylic painting, "The Weight of Wounds", was a deeply emotional process, a canvas where emotions flowed freely through every brushstroke. With a restricted palette of red, white, and black, I aimed to distill the essence of inner turmoil and resilience. The choice of red, a vivid symbol of both pain and vitality, formed a backdrop against the stark contrast of white and the solemn depth of black. The central element, a fragmented visage rendered in controlled splatters, serves as a metaphor for the invisible burdens we carry. The face, marred by unseen struggles, embodies the profound depths of human experience. Each splatter, each layer of paint, was an act of release, a way to externalize the weight of these emotional wounds. The interplay of colors and textures transcended the visual, invites reflection on the unspoken battles we all face.
